House Codicia - Friend or Foe

The House Codicia is one of them names which crops up from time to time and I know so of you have had more interaction with them than myself. I'm still sitting on the fence about their motives and the techniques they are using is one that I don't agree with at all. I also came across a scrap a paper in the bottom of my rucksack the other day with a list of books that the master of the tower of lorim was using in conjunction with lorim, from way back. In fact whe we first started upon the Tarsis path. At the top of the list was a book named THE MALLEUS CODICIA - this book we actually found and it turns out to be demonic in orgin and dealt with control, all so the book must remain closed and bound.
Is this a house codicia artifact. If so groups dealing with demon kind cannot be good for anyone.

Well, if it helps any, and it probably doesn't, the word CODICIA translates from spanish as greed or avarice.
It stems from the latin word for desire, but changed a bit on its rout to the modern form.

Of course, it could just be a mispelled/poorly pronounced riff off Codex, implying a connection with books.
I mean, it's not like they're a greedy, avaricious bunch of bastards now, are they?
