Week 6 2012
A relatively small session.
After preparing themselves and equipping themselves, the party bid farewell to Shade and travelled northwards into the heart of the woods.
Their goal?
To find an elven guidestone, and possibly explore the great elven bestiary/menagerie, in which creatures were kept for study.
A mostly uneventful journey took place.
(it must have been. I can't remember shit. Except the last part.)
Well, except when they stumble upon a trio of warcats.
Y'know...
The big sods.
12foot at the shoulder.
Bred for war.
Hungry.
Rare as it is, and definately out of place in the forest.
Krank, quickly thinking, cast a spell of charm animal upon them.
Normally used to pacify household guard animals during a break in, this spell still worked.
As such, the warcats were taken aback enough to examine the group more thoroughly.
During this time the group began to question why such creatures were here.
Lorim born characters realised that such beasts would range too far and leave too much evidence of their presence to be an undiscovered inhabitent of the forest.
In addition, they are non migratory and would have had no path to make such a journey if migration was forced by external pressure.
Eventually, they hypothesised that they may have been released from the bestiary.
